Nota de desagravo do CFC sobre o pronunciamento do senador Aécio Neves
O Conselho Federal de Contabilidade, nesta nota representando os 27 Conselhos Regionais de Contabilidade e os 510 mil Profissionais da Contabilidade do Brasil, vem a público discordar das referências aos “contabilistas” feitas pelo Senador Aécio Neves, em pronunciamento criticando o Ajuste Fiscal proposto pelo Ministro Levi, do dia 20 de maio, conforme matéria publica no Jornal O Globo (http://oglobo.globo.com/brasil/aecio-chama-ajuste-fiscal-de-joaquim-levy-de-contabilista-16217897).
Segundo a notícia, o Senador disse que o pacote do ministro da Fazenda “é extremamente rudimentar, de um contabilista, que se baseia só na questão fiscal e esquece que as pessoas se levantam todos os dias e precisam comer e ir trabalhar”.
Quando associa o termo “rudimentar” ao “Contabilista”, o Senador demonstra total desconhecimento da profissão contábil exercida atualmente no Brasil. Há muito tempo os nossos Contabilistas deixaram de ser vistos como meros cumpridores das normas do Fisco. A Contabilidade que se pratica no território Nacional encontra-se em sintonia com as normas internacionais. Com o nosso Profissional Contábil marcando presença nos fóruns mais avançados das Nações desenvolvidas.
Nos últimos anos o Sistema CFC/CRCs tem desenvolvido um profícuo trabalho, em parceria com Instituições Governamentais e com o meio acadêmico, exatamente, para dotar a Contabilidade Pública da racionalidade e transparência que a Sociedade Brasileira exige. É, pois, de suma importância que os homens públicos do nosso País se atualizem – por isso, é oportuno esclarecer! – que a Contabilidade é uma Ciência Social com vastos recursos de controle e informação, indispensáveis à gestão pública e privada, possuindo uma responsabilidade evidente na proteção da Sociedade.
Diante do exposto, o Conselho Federal de Contabilidade lamenta a visão distorcida e a forma equivocada com o que o Senador se referiu aos profissionais da Contabilidade.
